Direct from the amazing Moscato hills

Hi, I’m Simone, a young Moscato producer in Castiglione Tinella.

I have always had the strong belief that if you are born in the countryside, you can’t and you must not leave your land. Every day I take care of my vineyards, the wine production is hard and requires sacrifice.

But I can express myself only through my wines, because they are my great passion.

I have a clear mission: enhancing Moscato. For a long time, this wine was too little respected and it was considered a low-quality product.

I want to show you that it is not.

Every day I am committed to pursuing this mission and I am president of 2 associations. The last born is called “Aroma di un territorio”, I have founded it together with other 7 young Moscato producers with whom we launched the project ESCAMOTAGE.

Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to get to know me better:

If you want to taste my wines and my Moscato instead, come and see me on Saturday and Sunday!

What will we do together?

Stage 1

Stage 1

Visit to the vineyards

I will take you directly into the vineyards where every day I work to give life to our wines and where you can admire the breath-taking landscape that is the backdrop of the structure!

Stage 2

Stage 2

The crutin

Crutin in Italian means “cave” and identifies the small cellars dug into the tuff that farmers used as pantries in the past. I leave my wine resting inside the crutin, did you ever see one?

Stage 3

Stage 3

Lunch or tasting

The last stage is the most enjoyable of all! You just have to choose if you want to have a complete lunch matched with my wines or a tasting with a local food platter.

You can choose between 2 experiences:

Guided tasting of 3 wines + cheese and cold cuts platter (Moscato d’Asti docg, White Wine Escamotage, Barbera d’Asti).

I almost forgot! The girl in the picture with me is Rossana, my girlfriend. You can meet her as well, because she helps me with the works in the farm.

MY EXPRESSION OF MOSCATO

Matot and Nicchia

I dedicated my first label to my dad, calling the wine “Matot” which means “young boy” in the Piedmont dialect and was the nickname given to him by his friends, because even though he was the oldest of the company, he looked like the youngest. The comparison with Moscato is inevitable: it is a fresh wine but it comes from old vineyards.

And then Nicchia came, a white wine that you absolutely have to try and that is part of the project ESCAMOTAGE.

So how about tasting my wines in Castiglione Tinella?

I’ll let you know the true potential of Moscato!
